[RISC OS software]

presents:
IscaFS
An ext2/ext3 image filing system for RISC OS (read-only)
Disclaimer: This software was originally written by Phil Norman
and Matthew Wilcox; since then I have somewhat taken over development.
The official home page of IscaFS can be found
here.
This software is for
ARM-powered computers running
RISC OS.
If you are using Linux, Windows or anything else,
then don't bother downloading this program.
IscaFS allows RISC OS (3 or higher) to read ext2/ext3 image files and hard disc partitions.
It is released under the GNU GPL.
Changes from release 0.16 to 0.17:
- Fixed the "empty filer window" bug surfacing on machines with lots of memory (read: Iyonix). Thanks to Chris Terran for finding the cause of this bug.
- Adjusted module version number in the "!Run" file which had been wrong the last few releases.
- Fixed a bug concerning comma-separated file type information.
Download release 0.17 of IscaFS (you might also
be interested in ImageFr64).
Changes from release 0.14 to 0.16:
- Fixed bug in two-level cache system. Now that it finally works
as intended, performance improved radically (up to 300%).
- File type sprite now looks a bit like a directory.
Download release 0.16 of IscaFS.
Changes from release 0.13 to 0.14 (just bug fixes):
- Fixed bug in two-level cache usage (cache A wasn't used at all).
- Fixed bug which could result in stale cache entries being used. This only surfaced when dismounting volumes (for example floppy discs). Thanks to Rien Mertens for reporting that bug.
- Fixed time/date conversion code. No longer off by 0.76 seconds.
Download release 0.14 of IscaFS.
Changes from release 0.12plus to 0.13:
- Fixed "The Last Bug", which prevented RO5/Iyonix compatibility. Thanks to Daniel Ellis for finding it and helping to fix it.
- Added "PartTool" program as an alternative to "GetPartns" and "ReadPart". It can create pseudo image files and partition dumps.
Download release 0.13 of IscaFS.
Changes from release 0.12 to 0.12plus:
- Thought to be RO5-compatible (but wasn't). Replaced the MAlloc module with a 32bit-clean version, so now it should run on Iyonix.
Download release 0.12plus of IscaFS.
Changes from release 0.11 to 0.12:
- Fixed a bug which could freeze the machine when scanning empty dirs.
- Added MimeMap support. IscaFS now maps filename extensions to filetypes.
- Spaces in filenames are converted to Alt-Spaces.
- Better handling of "," characters in filenames.
- The IscaFS module is now 32bit-clean. But the MAlloc module isn't, so IscaFS still won't work with RO 5.
- Added helper program to display UNIX file mode bits under RO.
- Correctly recognizes UNIX special files.
- Tidied up the documentation.
Download release 0.12 of IscaFS.
Changes from release 0.08 to 0.11:
- IscaFS now really copes with partitions larger than 4 GB.
- IscaFS now copes with all three ext2 block sizes and the standard ext2 features called
"sparse_super" and "filetype" - in short, IscaFS now really works.
- Numerous bug fixes. Read the docs. :)
